Our flat is a characterless square box. Then my husband thinks buying vintage is...erm...strange. But I will try to work towards adding some character into our home, maybe something which look like this..
I've always thought of using cabinet boxes like the photo below for our kitchen. By using cabinet boxes, I think it would be more flexible for us to change the old cabinet for a fresher look in our flat than waiting to save a huge budget (paying for remodeling could cost as much as our flat :p) for major overhaul.
We live in a tiny flat (51m2); so, our "dining area" is located in our tiny kitchen which already existed when we bought the place. The previous owner constructed a built in dining table that I wish I could remove it to make the place functional but in this economy remodeling is out of the picture. I'm thinking that I should try to squeeze in some kind of dining seats in the living room as shown in photos below. They look achievable to me
